In Massachusetts, the average counselor to student ratio is 432 to 1 (BostonMagazine.com). That translates to less than one minute per day devoted to your child.

Solidarity Solutions is a private educational consulting company. We work in solidarity with families and students in order to draw out of each student his or her fullest potential.

As applications to colleges and universities rise every year, the landscape for college admissions becomes more and more complex, competitive, time-consuming and bewildering to parents and students.

Solidarity Solutions works with families in order to simplify the college admissions process and maximize the strengths of each applicant. Solidarity Solutions provides a wide range services that can be customized to meet the needs of each student.

Solidarity Solutions prides itself on providing one on one personal attention. Care for the individual is primary concern. We help you excel.

Strategic Positioning: In what activities should students be involved? What courses should students take? How about extracurricular activities, athletics and community service? Students need a four year plan in order to make themselves attractive candidates for admissions officers. Solidarity solutions will consult with students over four years in order to clarify goals, and put in place a four year strategy.

Targeting Schools: Solidarity Solutions will help families identify the colleges or universities that will best fit their son or daughter’s academic profile. A consultation will examine the needs and desires of each student and work to identify a variety of options. These choices become a starting point in your college selection process.

Interview Preparation: What kinds of questions will a college admissions officer ask me? How do I highlight my strengths in an interview? What preparation needs to take place before a student begins interviewing? A consultation with a student will help clarify strengths, and build confidence.

College Resume: The resume admissions officers study presents students’ accomplishments in a concise, organized way. How does a student give justice to all of his or her achievements? What activities and honors should be highlighted? How to explain experiences that might not be immediately clear to an admissions officer?

Personal Statement: The personal statement defines a student to admissions officers, and presents an opportunity to set yourself apart. This opportunity allows the applicant to present a window on your own special, unique talents, abilities, interests, and beliefs. The personal statement also provides a forum to showcase your ability to write clearly and organize your thoughts --- talents essential for success in college.

All-Inclusive Package: Solidarity Solutions offers two and four year packages that will allow unlimited access and services as families work their way through the admissions process. This includes strategic positioning, targeting schools, interview preparation, resume and personal statement services, and application services.

Secondary School Placement: We can help you with selection of secondary schools. What will be the best fit for you and your family? What are the options that are out there? We can help with essays, test preparation, letters of support from teachers, and interview prep.

Academic Support: We provide a wide range of academic support, ranging from test preparation (SSAT, SAT I, SAT II, MCAS improvement) to tutoring in individual subjects. Our high-end tuturing service will maximize your time, and enhance your child's performance.
